About me
Esteban Padilla
I build whole products, from the database to the last detail of the interface, and I care that they keep working when nobody is watching. From Colombia.
Where I come from
I’m a product engineer in Colombia. My days go to the internal tools of a digital-services consultancy, and the rest to products I build with a partner. Somewhere along the way I stopped building pieces and started building whole products: the database, the interface, the deploy, and the boring parts that keep them running.
How I work
I work with AI agents, inside rules that fail the build when someone breaks them. Every change goes through three independent audits before it ships: correctness, security and simplicity. The documentation lives next to the code and gets updated in the same commit, and anything I do twice becomes a versioned playbook, which becomes a reusable skill once it runs clean three times in different projects. Even this site has a guard that refuses to publish a client’s name.
Work
- A sequential case number is also a credential The internal portal and public site of a regional public transport terminal, built end to end. Mobile LCP 9.8 s → 2.2 s
- Replacing two SaaS tools without anyone missing them The internal operations portal of a digital-services consultancy, for time, tasks and website audits. 200 → 400 pages per audit
- One backend, many brands, no leaks between them A multi-tenant headless platform, and the WordPress-to-Astro migrations it serves. Mobile LCP 5.7 s → 1.7 s on one site
- Publishing without a manual A regional legislature's site, moved from a legacy CMS to a static site with a small publishing panel. 6,585 historical URLs tested
Products I build
-
A store for people who sell in their DMs
A store builder for sellers who find buyers on Instagram and TikTok and close the sale on WhatsApp. The platform never touches the money. Built with a partner who leads the UX.
- Every query goes through one tenant chokepoint, enforced by lint.
- Custom domains served at the edge.
- A checkout that never hard-fails.
- Prices as integer minor units across 18 currencies.
-
Rental software for small equipment shops
Rentals, returns and billing for small equipment shops in Latin America, built to keep working when the internet does not.
- Works offline; an outbox replays every change exactly once.
- Extra-day billing per unit as pure functions shared by the preview and the server.
- Payment webhooks that arrive out of order are settled by one conditional update.
- Tenant isolation through a database extension, composite keys and lint.
-

Job search with transparent scoring; every score is the sum of its parts.
Off the keyboard
Mostly competing. I have a lot of hours in Rocket League and CS2, where there is always a little more to shave off, and Silksong is one of the few story games I have finished. That streak is why the game on this site will make you race my times.
Now
Turning this site into a small world you can play, designing Libro, and learning Blender to model my own character.
